Qbitoro (qbitoro.com) is a small independent website and newsletter about quantum computing companies, run from the Netherlands. This page explains what personal data we collect, why, and what you can do about it. Questions: qbitoro@outlook.com.
What we collect
- Your email address, only if you sign up for the Friday brief. We use it to send the newsletter and nothing else.
- Basic technical data such as your IP address and browser type, which our hosting provider processes briefly to serve and protect the site.
We don't use advertising cookies or tracking pixels on this site, and we never sell or rent your data.
Who processes it for us
- Kit (kit.com) stores newsletter subscribers and sends the emails.
- Cloudflare hosts the website.
- Google Fonts serves the fonts, so your browser connects to Google when a page loads.
Some of these companies are based in the United States. They transfer data under the safeguards required by EU law.
Legal basis and how long we keep it
We send the newsletter because you asked for it (consent). You can unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of every email, and your address is then removed from our active list. Hosting logs are kept only as long as Cloudflare needs them for security.
YouTube
Qbitoro uses the YouTube API Services only to upload and manage videos on its own YouTube channel. Our app does not access, collect or store data about viewers or any other YouTube users. Using YouTube is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. You can see and revoke app access at any time on the Google security settings page.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email qbitoro@outlook.com and we'll reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
